Halloween is coming!

I played around with my Photoshop Elements 10 to create some new Halloween Tags...  Very theraputic - like Chicken Soup, or a long back rub....

Voodoo Doll and Dinosaur Coat Rack

I just finished some skull head pins for a Voodoo doll...

I also have been working on a coat rack from AlliAnn's room.  I cut some plastic dinosaurs in half, inserted cut dowels, some two way screws, and added their heads as hooks.  It's not very "girly" but I thought it was so cute...

Spiders and Dead Flamingos

Here are a couple of my latest creations.

The first is a plastic yard flamingo painted black then painted with a skeleton.

The second is a spider, or bug.  Made from Styrofoam balls painted black, and doilies and fabric to wrap the body parts, and wire legs.

I'm going to make a bunch of these!  They're so pretty, yet creepy.

Humane Taxidermy?

I believe that many of the things people do to animals are cruel. Testing chemicals, experiments, Zoo's hunting for trophies.

But here's a fun and humane way to display a beautiful animal.

Easter stuff

Easter is holiday number 3 for decorating.  Meaning I make less stuff, I put up fewer decorations, and I keep them up for a shorter period of time than holidays number 1 (Halloween) and number 2 (Christmas).

I am facinated with miniature houses.  Romantic Storybook houses.  Here's the latest I've made...

I found these nests in a thrift store.  They screamed to be decorated with eggs, so here they are as Easter decor...

Black Bunny Head

I came across a large bunny doll in a dress at the thrift store.  I don't care for bunny dolls generally, but this one had a black flocked plastic of some sort, heavy head.  The head is about a foot tall!  The head was so cool, I bought it.

I ended up using the dress for one of my other dolls.  The head deserved to be the center of attentioin, so I glued it to a wooden base and added a pink tulle collar.  Ta Da!
